A closer look to Mativision’s applications in 5G Victori.
5G-VICTORI is funded by the EU program Horizon 2020 and is part of the 5G Infrastructure Public Private Partnership (5G-PPP), the joint initiative of the European information and communications industry.
Mativision, is a key partner in Application 1 and 2 of the Digital Mobility use case, in collaboration with the University of Bristol. The main objective of 5G-VICTORIS’s Digital Mobility Use Case is to develop a common framework for innovative mobility applications and services.
Application 1 will provide immersive media and AR/VR services to travellers arriving at MShed. A synchronous 360° tour guide at specific geolocations will be given to a group of users with 5G connectivity. One of the main focuses of this Application is user mobility.
Application 2 will use 360° VR Multicamera Live streaming and focuses mainly on large user connectivity and greater number of users. A remote training class will take place at the university of Bristol and users will attend via 360° VR in real-time from anywhere in Bristol with access to the 5G UK network.
